CHRISTIE DUNNING
BIOGRAPHY: Christie Dunning works in a variety of media and techniques, including yarn, fabric, and wire. She makes one-of-a-kind artwork as well as woven wire jewelry. She received an A.A. in Business Administration from San Diego Mesa College, an A.B. in Art Education from San Diego State University, and an M.F.A. in Studio Art/Fiber, with a secondary emphasis in Textile Techniques in Metal from San Diego State University. Her work has been juried into local, national and international exhibitions and has been published in American Craft, Handwoven, FiberArts, FiberArts Design Book Five, International Textile Design, Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot, and Surface Design Journal. In addition to making artwork, she teaches a variety of subjects relating to contemporary fiber art, textiles for interior design and textile techniques in metal.
