ROBIN COWLEY
BIOGRAPHY: Robin Cowley’s portfolio includes a unique range of surface design and textile artwork reflecting her 25+ year career in landscape design and studio production. A design partner in Potomac Waterworks, Robin builds upon her studio work in color and space design to create astounding architectural and interior color solutions along with mixed media art and landscape installations.

A native Californian living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Robin’s work in surface design and textile art has been a natural outgrowth of her training in art history and exploration of studio work through local college and continuing education programs. As a guest lecturer in horticulture and garden design forums, she highlights the opportunities for designers to embrace color and texture in their work. Her professional work, both on the ground and on fiber, demonstrates a confidence in abstract composition of textures, and textiles with strong color and graphic elements. Robin is a professional member of Studio Art Quilt Associates, Surface Design, and Textile Arts Council of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.

Her work has been selected for local, national and international exhibitions and commissioned for installations in US Embassy collections, corporate headquarters, medical centers and private collections. Her work has been published in Fiber Arts Design Book 6, Threads Magazine, Fiberarts Magazine, Surface Design Journal, The Guild Sourcebooks 11-18, and featured in "Lives in Process: the Second Fifty Years" and video interviews for HGTV and PBS.
