This map shows the entire area of the Tuolumne River Watershed. The term watershed means the area of land where all of the water that drains off of it goes into the same place. The Rim fire, outlined in red on this map, was the largest recorded wildfire in the Sierra and 96% of it was in the Tuolumne River Watershed.
