| Title: Cooley Landing: Community Quilt |

| Description: During the art making phase of my residency, I invited community members to paint small silk paintings that were then stitched together to make this community quilt. The designs were based on things that people observed at Cooley Landing: mud crabs, water boatmen, leopard sharks, pickleweed, wetlands, bricks and pelicans. |
| Materials and Techniques: Silk habotai hand painted using remezol dyes and water soluble resist. Pieced together with blue silk Doupioni. |
