Water, Water, Everywhere!
Leaving Charlotte Lake, we hiked down along Bubb's Creek where the water danced and roared over rocks, much more so than we were anticipating this late in the season. On our last day we met up with the South Fork of the Kings River, which also had a surprising amount of water in it given three years of drought. There was an unusually high number of thunderstorm days in the Sierra this summer and I think that kept the streams flowing later in the year; unfortunately not enough to impact our drought situation though.
