| Cross-country route up to Sixty Lakes Basin We left the John Muir Trail and paralleled the outlet stream from Sixty Lakes Basin. When traveling cross-country, it's rarely a good idea to walk along the stream itself and this was no exception as you can see from the willow and boulder choked photo on the left. We ascended (steeply) through forest, grass and boulders instead - much easier! |
